Gamma International

Gamma International offers advanced spyware, which has repeatedly been
discovered in countries who mistreat journalists, like Bahrain and the
United Arab Emirates. The Finfisher Technology sold by Gamma
International is able to read encrypted files, emails and listen in to
voice over IP calls. Among the targeted was Ala'a Shehabi, a journalist,
university lecturer and activist from Bahrain, now living in London.

Gamma International: Leaked Data 'Confirms UK Spyware Export to Bahrain'

Leaked documents from the servers of a UK-based surveillance technology
company have allegedly brought new evidence that it illegally exported a
malicious spyware to Bahrain to target lawyers, human rights activists
and politicians.

Leaked Files Confirm Surveillance Company Helped Bahrain Spy on Activists

On August 4, a hacker created a post on Reddit announcing that s/he had
stolen 40 gigabytes of data from Gamma International, a United
Kingdom-based surveillance technology company. The hacker made the data
available for download and has been gradually posting key findings on
Twitter; news sites like ProPublica have also begun to comb through the
materials.
